Strengthening Teaching Quality at Agile Kindergarten
¡¡Hits£º13386¡¡AddTime£º2015-5-15 17:03:34

CIEO is a growing culture, and growth was a major theme or the past semester at Agile. As education and knowledge change and grow, so must we as CIEO staff.

Middle and big classes are talking about classroom activities and their teaching plan.

Teachers need to communicate with one another, and too that end the most impactful change made internal for our teachers has been the implementation of weekly teacher sharing sessions.  Chaired by foreign manager Stanley, these meetings are an open opportunity for our teachers to share the most effective activities and strategies they have found over the previous week.  Teachers walk away from sessions armed with an array of new ideas to keep classes fresh and exciting.

The foreign manager Stanley leads the foreign teachers to share classroom games to each other.

¡°Life Benchmark¡± classes are another change which has brought positive change to Agile.  Kindergarten aged students are developing the skills to be productive people and as their teachers and mentors it¡¯s our responsibility to be sure to not only teach information, but also the skills needed to be a positive presence in the community.  Students are given a monthly area of focus (March was focused on politeness and good manners) in which to try and improve themselves.  March saw students developing their skills in such as areas as polite speech (¡°please,¡± ¡°thank you,¡± etc.), properly asking others for attention (¡°excuse me,¡± not interrupting those who are speaking, waiting one¡¯s turn) and co-operation (politely solving conflicts, sharing materials etc.).  Teachers have already noticed great improvement in students conduct.

Mini and small classes talk about life benchmark in the meeting.

Our management team at Agile kindergarten seems to be on the right track.  Overall they are creating a greater environment and experience which all of CIEO can be proud of.
