Hello everyone, I¡¯m Lily¡¯s mom from G2B and I would like to share my thoughts about CLS¡¯ grocery shopping field trip. I am very glad to have had the opportunity to be the teaching assistant for this outing at 9:00am on March 25th.

All the children boarded the school bus, on time, to go to Sam¡¯s Club. Miss Sarah and Ms. Root introduced every merchandise area in English and we were all using English. The students used a shopping list to purchase specific items, such as cookies, fruit, juice, etc. which let the children choose and buy food in English. The students liked playing this game and by following the list they experienced the shopping process in a fun way.

In fact, as parents, I worried about safety issues but, the school made all the necessary plans: 1 adult watched 5 children. I think that is quite safe.

Every student practiced teamwork; not only learning to speak and write in English but, math was also used. Students were very quiet and polite. I think a lot of kids were able to learn so much.

Participating in the trip benefited me greatly. Parents educating their children should give them more freedom. Let children connect with life and experience life. We believe that children will progress more and more as they learn in a relaxed atmosphere.
Finally, we would like to thank all the teachers for this field trip activity. Teachers gave their full attention to all our children and I personally feel that the teachers have selfless love and tolerance for them.
