2015 Calgary City Teacher¡¯s Convention was kicked off on February 12. Winnie Chen, CEO of Canadian International Educational Organization took part in this convention. Calgary City Teacher¡¯s Conventions were established through legislation in the province for the purpose of providing teachers with forums whereby they can renew their professional skills on an annual basis. This convention helps teachers become aware of new knowledge and trends in teaching and school organization and to establish and broaden communications with other teachers on matters of professional concern.

Among all the sessions, there were two that Winnie was impressed. One is How to Bring Out Teachers¡¯ Creativity and the other is How to Create A Nature Field Guide for Your Schoolyard. These two aspects are also the most important parts of CIEO education.
Unveil your student's creativity through an integration of children¡¯s literature, drama, creative movement instrumental play and classical music, making learning significant to the child. Through this experience student's will have the foundation required to create their own stories, movement and music maps based on favourite childhood books and classical music.

How to create a nature field guide for your schoolyard? Activities in the creation of your field guide will include observation and recording the animals and plants that call your schoolyard their home. Ideas will be multidisciplinary and include all the multiple intelligences. Let's get your students outside and help engage them in an exciting and challenging environmental education experience!

There were 600 sessions within this two-day convention, which covered all aspects of education and it was a great educational feast for all the attendees. CIEO will seize every chance to learn from others and provide authentic international education to students from home and abroad.

Winnie received warm welcome and hospitality from the senator of Alberta and other officers. It was Chinese Spring Festival and Winnie had a reunion meal with the oversea Chinese and other Canadian local people. Best wishes were send from the other continent--- May all the oversea Chinese and westerners a happy new year and good health.
