广州市白云区加拿达中英文幼儿园
9月12日，广州市白云区加拿达中英文幼儿园组织全园师生前往广东省木偶艺术剧院观看大型人偶剧《拇指姑娘》。
中国人偶艺术历史悠远，技艺精湛，是我国优秀传统文化的重要组成部分。《拇指姑娘》刻画了向往阳光和自由，不屈不挠，心地善良的拇指姑娘形象，教会孩子们无论遇到什么挫折都要勇敢、坚强，坦然面对，永怀对美好生活的期望。
故事情节紧凑，环环相扣，引人入胜。孩子们沉浸在精美绝伦的视听盛宴中，与剧情同呼吸共命运。观看过程中，一个大班孩子搓搓自己的双手说要给拇指姑娘温暖和力量，帮助她回南方的家。拇指姑娘被田鼠转走并让她嫁给鼹鼠先生时，小班级的宝贝们悲伤大哭，中大班的宝贝们则正义凛然大喊“坏老鼠，坏老鼠，快放开拇指姑娘”！当洞外妈妈找不到处在地洞里的拇指姑娘而伤心地哭了时，宝贝们在观众席异口同声喊到“下面！下面！拇指姑娘在地洞里”。
此次活动旨在弘扬民族传统文化，提高幼儿对民间艺术的审美能力，丰富幼儿对中国木偶艺术的认识。孩子们深刻感受到了中华民族传统文化的魅力，既增长了见识，也受到了良好的品德教化。
Puppet Theatre - Thumbelina

September 12th, CKE-BY organized students and staff to watch Thumbelina at Guangdong’s Puppet Art Theater.
Chinese puppets are an important part of traditional Chinese culture and its long history. We hope to help students carry forward this culture and to help them embrace folk arts which enrich their understanding of China.
This rendition of Thumbelina used puppets to portray the characters. Thumbelina loves sunshine and liberty and never gives in to the dark. She is kind and tries her best to save a swallow who is dying in a dark cave. Owing to her kindness, the swallow helps her back to the warm south, her own happy home. This story inspires us that no matter what difficulty you face, you should be brave and strong. We should never lose our expectations of a beautiful life.
One boy from big class was so moved that he rubbed his hands together in trying to offer warmth to Thumbelina in winter to help her get back home. When they saw Thumbelina was taken away and forced to marry Mr Mole, the students from small class cried and students from middle and big classes shouted. When Thumbelina heard her mother looking for her everywhere, she was so sad and our students called out to her that Thumbelina was in the cave below. Students enjoyed the puppet show very much.
